Ava was 10 pounds 11 ounces last week so is likely pushing 11 pounds by now. She is doing well and her personality continues to develop. She is smiling in response to our talking and faces and even slept 4 hours a few stretches the past few days! We're so thankful she continues to do well.

Mr. Kimo's return: Our friend Mr. Kimo came back for some clean-up work. There were a few spots he missed in the last visit so he came back to do a little touch-up. Linda started her Xeloda on Monday which is a newer chemo in pill form. She takes it twice per day. So far she hasn't had any serious side effects which is good. On Thursday she gets an infusion of Navelbine (another chemo) and an infusion or shot of Zometa (bone strengthener) to help as well. We're hopeful the side effects from all these medications will be as light as possible. She will take the chemo for 12 weeks and the bone strengthener for 3 years. Her hair continues to grow back and her energy is good. Linda even went to a light Yoga class on Monday after walking with me and Ava earlier in the day. She is going after this like everything, with a positive attitude and giving it her all. Thank you to those who continue to help as we manage through this!

Mason loves his WubbaNub's! A friend gave us the frog at our shower and Santa delivered a duck and penguin for Christmas. It's great to have a pacifier that doesn't topple onto the floor whenever he spits them out - the animal is much easier to catch than the pacifier itself. So, we thought we'd add it to the Target card, but couldn't coordinate the delivery (sorry!) Hope Ava enjoys the dog and frog! Love, Christi, Juli, and Karol
Thanks Christi and family! The wubbanubs are much easier to manage and Ava likes looking at the critters attached!
